WHY IS REGULAR SERVICING IMPORTANT FOR MY CAR?
Regular servicing is important because it ensures your vehicle's factory-recommended servicing requirements are met. Basically, it makes sure that your car is performing safely and efficiently. WHY IS AN ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE IMPORTANT? DO I NEED TO DO THIS EVERY SERVICE
A regular oil change and filter change is crucial to keep the moving parts of your car engine (of which there are lots!) well lubricated and performing smoothly. Over time, dirt and carbon build up within your engine, and this adds friction and wear/tear to the moving parts. Changing both the oil and the oil filter is a standard part included in every car service. Doing this will help reduce fuel emissions, increase fuel economy, and maintain your engine's overall performance over time. By getting an engine oil change regularly, you can even increase the lifespan of your vehicle and its resale value.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO SERVICE MY CAR?
It is best to look at your vehicle manufacturer's recommended service guideline (check owner's manual) for vehicle maintenance specific for your car. If you don't have the logbook, a good rule of thumb is every 6 months, or 10,000km - whichever comes first. Most new cars under 4 years old will generally be every 12 months, or 15,000km.
